Chicco sunglasses are the latest line of glasses that guarantees the highest safety for the sensitive eyes of babies and children. The eyes of the youngest are extremely exposed to the harmful effects of sunlight, as their structure allows for deeper penetration of light, while the possibility of protection is much lower than in adults.
Children spend a lot of time outdoors, especially in summer, when the sun’s rays are stronger. In newborns, the lens is so clear that 90% of the UV-A rays and 50% of the UV-B rays reach the retina. Ideally, sunglasses should block all ultraviolet light, as well as some blue light where possible. Sunglasses are recommended to block 99% of all ultraviolet light.
Chicco sunglasses provide 100% protection against the sun’s UVA, UVB and UVC rays (sun filter category 3).
The frames are soft and flexible. All glasses from the latest Chicco collection are made of polycarbonate, which is resistant to impact, breakage and scratching. During the breakage test, polycarbonate lenses from the new Chicco eyewear line were subjected to 10 test cycles with different materials and objects of different weight and pressure force. The lenses were scratched only when heavily rubbed with the sandpaper.
